A line output transformer for television has a ferrite core 1 formed from two U shaped parts and an H.T. coil 5 on a hard paper former 7 provided with a conductive lining 9 which is in contact with a conductive adhesive 17 interposed between the U-shaped core parts, the adhesive 17 also making earth contact with clamping bolts 11 or with the ferrite core. The coating 9 and adhesive 17 may be a thermo-hardening plastic containing graphite. The core may also carry a heater winding (not shown) for the H.T. diode rectifier.
