Abstract

1,077,898. Inductors; magnets &c. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. May 13, 1966, No. 21408/66. Headings H1P and H1T. Winding 4 is made by wrapping tinned copper wire round projections 2, 3 to form terminals to the coil on (moulded polycarbonate) former 1. The wire is coated with a resin flux, then wound on projection 3 and its end 8 heat-sealed to it. Five- and-a-half turns are then wound on the body of former 1, and the wire is led over projection 10 and around projection 2, its end 7 being heat-sealed to projection 2. An iron dust core 9 may be screwed into a threaded bore in former 1. Winding 4 may be secured to former 1 by spraying them with an ethyl cellulose glue, and in place of heat-sealing the ends of the winding may be secured by an adhesive. Tappings or several windings may be provided.
