Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of magnetic flux while maintaining a compact form and also avoid a rise in temperature of coils by winding two coils onto different winding flutes of a bobbin, thereby molding around a core as well as both coils with a resin where magnetic powders are mixed. CONSTITUTION:Two coils 10a and 10b are wound onto different winding flutes of a bobbin 8 and the bobbin gets two C-type cores 4 butted against each other through one side of the C-type cores 4 and they are pressed down by holding a metal fitting 6. At the bobbin 8, further, four lead terminals 12 protrude downward and a common mode choke coil 20 is formed by connecting both ends of the coils 10a and 10b to the terminals 12 respectively. And then with the exception of the lead terminals 12 of the above choke coil 20, the whole coil 20 is molded with a resin 22 where magnetic powders are mixed. Such a configuration not only prevents the leakage of magnetic flux but also a rise in temperature of the coils, while maintaining the compact form of the coil without increasing the number of parts thereof as well.
