[Also in Groups XII and XXVI] In an air-heating apparatus in which the air is heated by combustion products generated under pressure (see Group XII), the air is drawn by impellers 16, 17 through a duct 3 and is heated therein by a rotary combustion unit which includes a combustion chamber 4 and gas discharge pipes 29 so shaped as to enable the combustion products to impart the rotary motion to the combustion unit and hence drive the air impellers 16, 17. Helical fins 28 are disposed around the combustion chamber to assist in the transfer of heat to the air. Specification 795,254 is referred to.
