[Classes 64 (i) and 64 (ii)] [Also in Groups X, XI, and XXVII] An air heater suitable for use in automobiles and aeroplanes comprises means for supplying air and fuel through adjacent inlets to a mixing chamber connecting an air pressure chamber to a combustion chamber, means for heating the fuel and air prior to entering the combustion chamber, and means for causing the air to be heated to flow in heat exchange relation with the combustion Chamber. The fan supplying air to the air pressure chamber may be driven by an electric motor or an internal combustion engine. The heating of the fuel and air may be effected electrically or by the exhaust gases from the internal combustion engine. The air heating apparatus described is the same as that described in Specification 569,274.
