Abstract
885,222. Ventilating vehicles. FIRTH CLEVELAND Ltd. Dec. 9, 1957 [Dec. 7, 1956(2)], No. 38175/57. Class 137 [Also in Groups XXVI, XXVII and XXXIV] An engine-driven rotor 161 supplies air to a vehicle interior via a filter 168 and nozzles (not shown), the pressure upstream of the filter being greater than that in a silencer 169 which surrounds one of two ducts 165, 166 alternatively usable according to the setting of a valve 167. The bleeding off of high-velocity air for vehicle heating, from the rotor of a transverse-flow fan used to cool the cylinders of an I.C. engine, is also described.
