Class 7(2) [Also in Group XIII] An exhaust silencer 32 is mounted on a heat exchanger 16 (see Group XIII) in which air is heated by the exhaust gases of a vehicle engine 4, the heat exchanger being mounted on the engine exhaust manifolds 6. The exhaust gases pass from the manifolds 6 and upwardly through the heat exchanger 16 to the silencer 32 and from thence to atmosphere.
