Abstract

1480163 Stirling engines FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 27 May 1975 [5 Sept 1974] 23120/75 Heading F15 A Stirling type engine includes a heat source circuit having an induction portion 13, a blower 10 arranged to discharge ambient air into the induction portion, a recirculation passage 25 connecting an exhaust portion 19 of the heat source circuit and the induction portion 13 and aspirator means D connecting the recirculation passage to the outlet of the blower, the aspirator means comprising a nozzle (not shown) disposed about the outlet of the blower to create a jet of blown air and a low-pressure zone surrounding the jet. A pre-heater wheel 18 is included to transfer heat from exhaust gas to air in the induction portion downstream of the aspirator means. The engine may be of swash-plate type.
