Abstract

An electrical generator set comprises a combustion engine 10 and an electrical generator 12 driven by the engine. A filter 30 is connected to a cooling air inlet 26 of the generator 12, and a cooling air outlet 28 is connected to an air intake 15 of the engine 10 whereby the engine 10 draws in combustion air through the generator to cool the generator. The filter 30 prevents pollutants entering the generator 12. The engine 10 may be fuelled by liquefied gas directed through a heat exchanger 46 whereby the gas cools the air and the gas is heated to promote its vapourisation. The liquefied gas fuelled engine 10 may be used to power an automotive vehicle. <IMAGE>
