[Also in Groups XII and XXVI] An apparatus for heating water or other liquid comprises a liquid container 3 within which is disposed a combustion chamber 6 in which a forced flow of combustion gases is generated (see Groups XII and XXVI). The hot gases flow from the combustion chamber through a plurality of parallel-connected flue tubes 7. Water or other liquid enters the container 3 through a tube 4 and heated liquid is withdrawn through a tube 5.
