Abstract

Gasoline compositions contain up to 6 c.c. per U.S. gallon of tetraethyl lead, an ethylene dihalide scavenging agent and a boron compound of formula <FORM:0917657/III/1> obtained by reacting 1 mole of butane 1,3-diol with 1 mole of boric acid with removal of 2 moles of water, in an amount sufficient to provide from 0,001% to less than 0,002% by weight of boron in the fuel.
