Abstract

894,444. Container closures. RUETZ, K. Nov. 24, 1960 [Nov. 28, 1959; Aug. 31, 1960], No. 40433/60. Class 125(3). A closure device comprises a socket 13 of mouldable plastics material formed with a groove 14 to receive a bead 12 on the container neck, annular surfaces 15 being provided on the socket and sealing against the inner surface of a cap 17 which is pressed on over the socket. The cap may carry an extension 20 fitting into the container neck and having a bead 21 which fits under the lower edge of the wall 18 of the socket the lower or upper edge of which may be formed with projections 22 engageable in depressions 23 formed on the lower edge, or on an inner shoulder of the cap. A pouring outlet 19 may be provided on the socket.
