Abstract

817,415. Bottle &c. caps. KORK-N-SEAL Ltd. Feb. 27. 1958 [March 12, 1957], No. 8101/57. Class 125(3). In a screw cap closure arrangement a moulded screw cap has an internal annular bead 17 and a sealing disc 27 of cork, polythene or other material is clamped between the bead and the internal periphery of the container mouth to be deformed to dish shape, the margin of the disc projecting into the recess 22 between the bead 17 and the flange 11 of the cap. In a modification Fig. 2 a metal cap has a frusto-conical part 30 and in other modifications of moulded and metal caps the bead 17 is of semi-circular crosssection.
