Abstract

893,733. Container closures. METAL BOX CO. Ltd. July 28, 1960 [Oct. 27, 1959], No. 36436/59. Class 125(3). A dispensing element for a container comprises a closure member 4 connected by a flexible tag 5 to a pouring neck 1, the tag 5 being connected to a rigid member 6 extending outwards from the pouring neck and to a rigid tongue 7 formed on the closure. In the open position of the closure 4, the tongue underlies the member 6 and engages the container to prevent unintentional movement of the closure to the closed position. The dispensing orifice of the pouring neck may be closed by a thin diaphragm provided with a removal tag.
