Abstract

925,975. Dispensing cartons. ALBERT E. REED & CO. Ltd. July 19, 1961 [July 19, 1960], No. 25151/60. Class 18. A dispensing carton, preferably for granular material, is made from a single blank 1 and comprises as an extension of a tab 11 a flap 18 with tongue 19 and in side wall 4 a slot 17 and a releasable portion 14 defined by per-. forations 15 and a hinge line 16. To initially open the carton, tongue 19 is removed from slot 17 and flap 18, stuck at 21 to portion 14, Fig. 4, is bent upwardly about hinge line 20 thereby bending portion 14 from the wall 4. The carton is closed by re-entering tongue 19 in slot 17. Alternatively the carton may be formed from more than one blank, the portion 14 may be completely removable from the side wall and the slot 17 may be replaced by a strap.
