946,802. Portable containers. METAL BOX CO. Ltd. Nov. 17, 1961 [April 28, 1961], No. 15537/61. Heading B8D. A container 1 is closed at one end by a closure member 3 which has a base 5 located between the opposite ends of the container and has side walls 4 extending upwards from said base, the side walls having one or more projections 6 overlying the base, said projections being spaced from the base by a distance such as to permit the chime 7 of a can 8 to be engaged between the projection and the base to rigidly connect the can to the container. The chime 7 is pushed past the projections 6 and is gripped between said projections and the base 5. The can and container are separated by pulling them apart.
