A carton blank, Fig. 1, which is folded to form a self-erecting carton has tabs 8 extending beyond the free edge of an adjacent side 2 so that adhesive may be applied to the tabs as the blank passes over an adhesive applying wheel. Corner gussets 6, 7 are folded inwards and overlap, the adhesive tab 8 securing the gussets 6, 7 together.
