Abstract

852,504. Cartons. WADDINGTON Ltd., J. March 19, 1957 [Dec. 21, 1955], No. 36663/55. Class 18. A flat bottom closure for a "peak-roof" carton is formed by pressing inwards opposite closure portions to form bellows folds lying between the remaining closure portions, one of which 15, is doubled on itself on a line 28 and the other of which 23 forms the outer closure portion and is sealed to the bottom. The part 23 may be extended for securing to the adjacent side wall of the carton. The carton blank is coated internally with thermoplastic adhesive and has a longitudinal seam as described in Specification 648,419. Specifications 508,793 and 676,531 also are referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 648,419.
