Abstract
866,280. Switchgear structures. ASTRAL SWITCHGEAR Ltd. May 14, 1958 [April 9, 1957], No. 11553/57. Class 38 (5). [Also in Group XXXVI] A housing for switchgear or other equipment comprises a number of sections 1 with flanges 1a bolted together to form a vertical series 3. L-section beams 2 are bolted to the flanges of this series and to a second series 4 to secure them in spaced relationship. The edges of the sections are notched at 9 (Fig. 3) so that adjacent edges form a square hole to receive the square shank 8a of a bolt 8 which with a nut (not shown) secures a beam 10 to clamp the edges of adjacent sections. End covers 5 are provided with bolts 6 (Fig. 2) having their heads notched at 6a to locate the edges of the sections 1 where they are cut away at 7.
