Abstract

907,377. Shuttering for concrete. KWIKFORM Ltd. June 23, 1959 [June 24, 1958], No. 20120/58. Class 20 (2). Shuttering for concrete columns or beams comprises four panels 12 connected perpendicularly to each other by adjustable clamps each comprising a bolt 26 secured in a bracket 27 fastened on one panel with its other T-shaped end 28 received between two angle-sections 23 on an adjacent panel. In use, the end 28 is rotated to bear against the outer sides of the sections 23 and is clamped by a nut 30 fastened on its threaded inner end. An abutment 36 prevents the panels from pivoting about their edge flanges 16 on tightening. A U-section member comprising flat sides 31 prevents damage to the bolt 26. A wedge 33 is inserted in selected slots 25 in the sections 23 to bear on a convex web 32 connecting the plates 31. The shuttering panels are stiffened by V and anglesection bars. The assembled shuttering is supported from the ground by stays.
