1492013 Building construction E ZALOTAY 31 Dec 1974 [10 Jan 1974] 20631/76 Divided out of 1489651 Heading E1A Buildings, e.g. multi-storey buildings, comprise "space units" 1 installed in a skeleton framework consisting of columns 2, slabs 12 and beams 13, all flexibly interconnected, each space unit being supported by three adjacent columns 2 via resilient (Fig. 5) or non-resilient (Fig. 3) joints. In the joint of Fig. 5, elastic plates 7 are positioned between metal plates 8, 9, the plate 9 co-operating with a generally channel-sectioned member 10 fixed to the space unit. In the joint of Fig. 3, a grooved mounting piece 5 is fixed to the unit 1 and rests on a plate 4 mounted over a tube 3 fixed to column 2.
