Classes 20(2), 20(3) and 20(4) In a building a joint between an outer wall and an inner wall comprises three vertical U-section girders 3, 4, 5 each comprising flanges 9, the ends 16 of which are bent inwardly through 45 degrees and then outwardly to form angle pieces 16, 7. The space between the angle pieces (which is half that of the web 8 of the girder) is bridged by welded distance plates 10 which are loosely connected by a common spacer plate 11. The space between the girders 4 and 5 is bridges by a bar 27 containing services 29. Cladding plates 19, glass 21 and a door 22 hinged at 23 are secured by screws 17. Horizontal girders supporting flooring and roofing are illustrated in Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown). The corner of the web 8 may be bent in to provide a recess for a door. (Fig. 6, not shown, refers).
