The elements may be channel sectioned, Fig. 17 (not shown) or, as shown, H sectioned. The elements are formed with metal plates 4 where they join which are welded to an interposed plate 5. The upper surfaces of the horizontal panels are coated with mortar before placing the next higher element. The elements may include reinforcement ribs, apertures for doors, conduits for cables &c.
