Abstract

[Also in Division A4] A rectangular unit for multistorey buildings is of dimensions corresponding to the floor, ceiling, and walls of a room and is formed at its corners with formations 5, 6 whereby units in the same plane in diagonally adjacent rooms, interlock. The units, of concrete or metal, may be of a depth such that they each form a complete room and are assembled together to form a building by interspacing the units with vertical and horizontal members 10 and with L-shaped parts (not shown). The sides 1, 2, 3, 4 of the unit may be of different thicknesses and suitable apertures may be provided for ties between the units. A complete room unit may be sub-divided into smaller compartments.
