Abstract

692,631. Walls and partitions. UNISECO, Ltd. Oct. 4, 1950, No. 24275/50. Classes 20(ii) and 20(iv) Panels, 1, 2 comprising facing sheets 4, 5 and a framework 3 enclosing a filling of wood wool and cement slurry 6 are assem-' bled in accordance with a modular system to form the walls of a building structure, junction posts 9 being provided to connect either the sides of adjacent panels together or, the side of a panel to a part of the structure. Tongues 8 on the posts 9 enter corresponding grooves 7 in the sides of the frames 3, screws 12 passing through holes drilled from grooves 10 in the outer faces of the post firmly securing the members together. Cover strips 13 fixed by screws 14 cover the grooves 10 which may carry service cables &c. For a T-junction, Fig. 3, angle strips 19 secured by screws 18 to the post 9a maintain the panel 15 normal to the panels 1a, 2a, panel 15 being secured to the post 9a by screws 16 which pass through the cover strip 13. A corner junction, Fig. 4, includes an L-shaped cover strip 22 secured to the post by screws 21 which also secure the panels 1b, 2b to the post 9b. Specification 558,421 is referred to.
