Abstract

1,068,927. Prefabricated buildings. C. VAN DER LELY N. V. May 26, 1964 [June 11, 1963], No. 21806/64. Heading E1A. A single storey building is built in five sections 1-5, the exterior walls of which have steel framework comprising vertical tubes 9, 10 with connecting elements 11, 12 secured thereto, and horizontal channel members 7, 8 forming sides of upper and lower rectangular frames. The walls comprise an inner layer 13 of framed concrete covered on the inside with backing paper 57 and wallpaper 58, and on the outside with a layer of synthetic plastics foil 15, and a layer 16 of foamed plastics material, the wall being clad on the outside with reinforced concrete panels 17, each having an internal grid of ribs, e.g., 23a and 25a, and each being secured to the horizontal members 7, 8 by arms 21, 22, or by hooked members, (Fig. 4, not shown), engaging angle brackets attached to the members 7, 8. The space between the panels may be partly, (as shown), or completely filled with mortar 61a. Ventilation holes 55, 56 are provided through a roof closing strip 46, and through an insulating layer 41, an angle member 40, and the channel member 7.
