1,103,495. Ventilating cavity walls and roofs. Y. SOHDA and Y. SOHDA. 20, Sept., 1965 [22, Sept., 1964], No. 39977/65. Heading E1W. [Also in Division F4] Prefabricated wall and roof panels 11 are formed with ducts 17 passing from the bottom of the building to the roof ridge, air flow through which is controlled by lower sliding, and upper pivoted control plates 22 and 23 respectively. The panels each have a foamed plastics layer between an interior sheet 13 and an exterior sheet 11, the ducts being formed either by parallel elongate rails 16, (Fig. 6, not shown), arranged between an intermediate sheet 12 and the interior sheet 13, the plastics layer being arranged between sheets 11 and 12, or by forming the plastics layer with elongate ribs 18 thereon defining channels therebetween, (Fig. 5, not shown), parallel intermediate partitions 19 being arranged in the channels to form ducts 17a.
