Abstract

1277525 Prefabricated multi-storey buildings HOUILLERES DU BASSIN DU NORD ET DE PAS-DE-CALAIS 27 April 1970 [7 May 1969 (2) 27 June 1969 (2)] 20142/70 Heading E1A [Also in Division F4] In a multi-storey building erected from prefabricated room units 1 of re-inforced concrete the units have walls 4, 5, 6; 7 between 3 and 8cms. thick which are bolted to one another and to a ceiling slab 3 and a floor slab 2. The floor slab has insulating sheets 15 adhesively secured to it and a floor surfacing 16 whilst the facing wall 5 is provided with an insulation mat 17, a facing shell 18, decorations 19 and a window having a hinged sash and frame 21. Door openings 10 and apertures for service pipes such as 12, 13 are provided as necessary together with cupboards 22 and wall papered or painted surfaces. The units are superimposed and arranged adjacent one another in spaced relationship to define ventilation passages therebetween connected to an air-conditioning system, see Figs. 9, 10 and 11 (not shown). Superimposed units are spaced apart by breast-summers, see Figs. 2, 5 and 7 (not shown). For other minor details concerning bolted joints, lead packing to maintain levels service conduits &c the Specification and remaining drawings (not shown) should be referred to.
