Abstract

1311876 Multi-storey buildings TIMBER RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION 17 June 1970 [20 June 1969] 31253/69 Heading E1A A multi-storey building is erected from prefabricated room units 3 mounted by brackets on columns 1 which are progressively built-up by bolted flange connectors 5, 6. The room units are provided with plumbing and electrical fittings and are connected to prefabricated service ducts 20 of storey height. The room units may be made of plywood with re-inforced corners and the building provided with fire-stops 21 and non-combustible linings 23, 28, 30.
