A tenement dwelling is modernised by providing it with a bathroom "room" unit adjacent an exterior wall and establishing communication therebetween. In a multi-storey block the "room" units are mounted in an open framework of concrete beams or steelwork having concrete floors and wall panels of asbestos, insulation board, concrete or aluminium. Kitchen units may likewise be provided. For application to a particular architectural layout the Specification and drawings (not shown) should be referred to.
