1340321 Multi-storey buildings J E C FAREBROTHER 30 Dec 1970 [30 Sept 1969] 47882/69 Heading E1A In a multi-storey building erected from prefabricated wall and floor panels 8, 9, a series of aligned ducts extend the full height of the building, pass through each of the superimposed wall and floor panels and contain co-extensive reinforcing members 15 which are bonded to the surfaces of the ducts as by grout. The ducts may be lined by metal sleeves and the floor panels may be provided with transverse reinforcing bars 23 and castellations where they adjoin one another on an internal wall. For minor details of castellations, grouting and gaskets employed the Specification and remaining drawings (not shown) should be referred to. (For Figure see next column)
