[Claas 89 (i)] In an anchor nut construction, the nut itself is mounted in a holder having outwardly projecting tongues that secure the nut against rotation and removal, whilst permitting limited play in all directions transversely to the axis, by passing through slots in parts upstanding from a base that is secured to one of the parts to be bolted. The base 1, Fig. 1, has a series of holes 1d for the bolts and upstanding parts lb slotted at 4 and connected by raised parts 1c. The nut holder which may be as described in Specification 585,948 has tongues 3 that engage the slots 4. In a modification, the base has side strips bent up at right angles thereto, the slots being formed in these strips and the end of the strips being bent to extend across the base, the meeting edges being joined. In a further modification of this form, tongues 8, Fig. 3, are punched from the side strips and formed with slots and tongues 8a to engage and form a series of partitions to separate the nuts, the slots for the tongues 3 being formed at 10 in the end walls and by the spaces 9 beneath the partitions. In a further form for single nuts, the side walls 11, Fig. 4, are connected to the base by narrow necks and they are bent in to form a hexagonal cage with the meeting edges joined. The base may be in the form of a flat strip 5, Fig. 7, slit at 13 to permit bridge strips 14, for the tongues 3, to be pressed upwards.
