Abstract

793,859. Wire staples. HELLER CORPORATION. Dec. 28, 1955. No. 37131/55. Class 89(2) A staple, e.g. for securing electrical-conduit or cable 24, comprises parallel spaced legs 11 interconnected by a back having a straight central-section 13 normal to the legs and extended by downwardlysloping side-portions 14. The legs have sharpened ends 12, and the staples may be assembled in strips stuck with an adhesive. For driving, the staple is supported by guideway 18 and moved by blade 19, which is cut-away centrally at 21 so that the central-section 13 of the staple can be deformed to the shape of the cable. Specification 786,595 [Group VII] is referred to.
