Abstract

552,353. Bolting. LANGMAID, C. T. March 20, 1942, No. 3736. [Class 89 (i)] A nut 18 is secured by clinching at the corners in an aperture in a spring clip 10 with an upturned edge 16 to facilitate placing over the edge of a member 11 to be bolted to a member 12. On assembly the nut snaps into an aperture of the member 11. Various shapes of aperture may be used and the aperture may be such as to allow play. In a modification the upturned edge is dispensed with and the limb 24 is the same length as the other limb and is apertured for the bolt. A hole 15 is punched in the clip to facilitate bending.
