Abstract
859,061. Frequency measurements. GOSSEN & CO. G.m.b.H., P. April 25, 1958 [June 8,1957], No. 13211/58. Class 40(5). In a frequency indicator responsive to the difference between two currents traversing paths I, II, which have inverse frequency responses, the primary of a transformer 4 feeding the paths is shunted by a capacitor 5 and connected in series with an inductor 6. The indicator which is designed for 50 cycles, has inductor 9 in one path and a tuned circuit 12, 13 in the other tuned to a frequency 65 c/s. substantially above the frequency for which it is designed, and the difference is taken across load resistors 11, 15, the latter of which is adjustable in conjunction with a resistor 16 in series with meter 17 to set the output for a correct reading on a mass produced standard scale dial. The indicator 6 which is tapped provides for measuring the frequency of two ranges of voltages 120-300 volts and 300-500 volts. The transformer 4 is partially saturated and fully saturated by voltages in the respective ranges and serves to suppress harmonics.
