Abstract

858,918. Nesting pallets for handling loads. STOPPS, A. L. April 12, 1958, No. 11705/58. Class 78 (4). The deck of a platform pallet is formed by a corrugated member 10 (Fig. 1), reinforced by U-section channels 20 running along its edges and of the same thickness as the deck. Each leg of the pallet is in the form of a cylindrical tube with portions 15, 17, 19 (Fig. 2), of a different diameter, the diameters being chosen so that several such pallets may be nested together when unloaded and so that the pallets may be separated in a stack by tubular members fitting outside the portion 19 of the legs of the pallet above and inside the portion 15 of the pallet below. The portion 15 of each leg is preferably welded at top and bottom to the deck of the pallet.
