Abstract

The pallet is suitable for handling by a fork lift truck once it is loaded or for stacking loads on top of one another. The main members instead of being made up from rectangular sections of timber, are made from tubular cardboard or plastic and the deck of the pallet is stapled onto the supports. The deck may be of timber in planks or in one piece. The cost of making this type of pallet is very much reduced, by using cheaper material, which does not require machining before final assembly. The deck may formed from tubes.
