Abstract

1,249,639. Load handling pallets. NEST-APAL CORP. 26 Nov., 1968, No. 56122/68. Heading B8H. A nestable pallet comprises a load-supporting platform 11 with a-plurality of recesses in the underside thereof to receive the flanges 18 of a plurality of hollow, truncated cone shaped feet 13, and a further platform 12, with apertures 17 to fit over the feet 13, attached to the underside of the platform 11 to retain the feet in the recesses. The feet are bonded to the platform 11, likewise the platform 12, and both may be additionally secured by staples 23, 26. The walls of the feet are thinner than the end portions and the feet may be formed by deepdrawing or power-spinning from sheet steel or from injection moulded plastics. The platform 11 may be made from plywood, plastics, bonded fibre or flake material.
