Abstract

1,154,589. Load-handling pallets. EAST LANCASHIRE PLASTICS Ltd. 17 Oct., 1966 [29 Oct., 1965], No. 45831/65. Heading B8H. A pallet (shown from underneath in Fig. 1) is constructed of synthetic plastics material and comprises a load-supporting surface 1 with legs 2 integrally moulded therewith. Two perpendicular sets of pairs of strengthening members in the form of solid ribs 3a, 3b; 4a, 4b are provided, with additional ribs 3 and 4 around the perimeter of the pallet. Slots 6 are formed in the ribs 3a, 4a to enable location of straps (not shown) whereby a load can be secured to the surface 1. Ribs (5), Fig. 3 (not shown), are provided on the top of the pallet surface 1 to reduce the risk of the load slipping.
