Abstract

1,151,415. Load-handling pallets. BOWATER PACKAGING Ltd. 2 Feb., 1968 [9 Nov., 1966], No. 50146/66. Heading B8H. A pallet comprises a one-piece rectangular moulded plastics structure 1 having a top planar load supporting surface 2 with supporting legs 4, 5, 6, 11 arranged to allow four-way entry of the forks of a lift truck. A pair of diagonal channels 10 formed in the surface 2 follow sinuous paths between opposite corners of the pallet merging only with respective corner legs and the central leg. The central leg 11 divides each channel 10 into two halves, each half having a zig-zag in the middle. A depending skirt 9 is provided around the outer periphery of the pallet. The pallets may be stacked, when not in use, to form a nest.
