Abstract

1,152,010. Load handling pallets. L. J. BECKLEY. 15 May, 1967 [13 May, 1966], No. 21382/66. Heading B8H. A car body carrier comprises a rectangular base frame 1, 1a with support posts 2 upstanding one from each corner of the frame 1, la. At the head of each post 2 is an eye 4 arranged to co-operate with a bolt 8 with a handle 9 on a superposed pallet to lock the two pallets together. The bottom carrier of a stack may be provided with feet 13 whereby it can be attached to a transporter vehicle. Each foot 13 has an eye 4 to receive the bolt 8 of the associated post 2 and a centre bolt 48, Fig. 7, for clamping to the vehicle floor 49. A platform assembly for supporting the car body (not shown), is in two sections of similar form, each consisting of a platform member 20 supported at opposite sides by guides 21 so as to be slidable therealong and held in a selected position by retaining means as set forth in Specification 1,142,208.
