Abstract

963,409. Load handling pallets. ASHTON CONTAINERS Ltd. Feb. 25, 1963 [April 6, 1962], No. 13251/62. Heading B8H. A pallet consists of a platform 1, rectangular supports 4 running down two opposite edges thereof and bracing members 34 fitted through transverse openings 35 in the supports 4, the bracing members being of a form suitable to receive lifting forks. The platform and supports 4 are made from a single sheet of cardboard or the like cut and folded in the manner indicated in Fig. 1 (not shown). The bracing members are separately formed from strips of cardboard bent into inverted U-form. Two or more contiguous platforms may be joined by a single set of bracing members.
