Abstract

1375145 Container; load handling pallets CATERPILLAR TRACTOR CO 8 March 1973 [10 March 1972] 11267/73 Headings B8P and B8H A container comprises a sleeve 14 of corrugated paperboard pushed outwardly by a paperboard sheet 16 which lies on the bottom 18 of a pallet assembly 12, on to downwardly and inwardly directed barbs 32 formed in an upstanding peripheral flange 20 of the pallet assembly 12. The sleeve 14 can be folded flat when it is separated from the pallet assembly 12. The upper edge of the sleeve 14 is protected and reinforced by bars 38 having barbs 40 which pierce the sleeve 14. Each foot member 24 of the pallet assembly 12 is tapered downwardly.
