Abstract

The top (1) is one thickness of carboard. Underneath are three square tubes (2, 3, 4) which provide clearance for entry of the fork tines. Each tube is formed from one piece of cardboard, folded to give four sides and an overlap joint. This overlap is secured by staples or adhesive or pushing a tongue through a slit to form a lock. Two openings (8, 9) in each vertical side are opposite each other, forming a passage, andpaper tubes (5, 6, 7) are spaced along the length to prevent crushing. Each tube is fixed (18, 19, 20), using the overlapped side, to the top by means of staples or adhesive.
