Abstract

1342742 Packaging bottles SKONA Ltd 4 May 1971 [6 May 1970] 21840/70 Heading B8C A package for a plurality of bottles comprises a length of cardboard, or similar material, which is transversely scored, at intervals to form, when folded up around the bottles to complete a package, a plain base 12 upon which the bottles stand, sides 14, each having a handling aperture 20, and an upper plate composed of two end zones 16, 18 which partially overlap and each have a plurality of openings which coincide at the overlapped portions and through which the necks of the bottles project. The portions 16, 18 may be secured together, for example, by stapling. The bottles may be initially wrapped, for example in groups of four, in sheets 24 of strong cardboard secured together, for example, by an adhesive, beneath the bottles. The upper end of the sheet (24) may be provided with a finger hole (26), Fig. 3, not shown.
