Abstract

1,107,618. Load handling pallets. SOLENT CANNERS Ltd. 10 Nov., 1966 [28 Sept., 1966], No. 43367/66. Heading B8H. An expendable pallet comprises a cardboard body folded into a channel 1 with a flat horizontal rectangular base and vertical rightangular parallel side walls 3 each of which terminates at the same height in an outwardly directed horizontal wing 4. The walls 3 are braced against splaying by two (or more) separate non-extensible strips 6 spaced apart and extending across the mouth of the channel 1. The strips 6 are supported by and attached to the wings 4. The pallet is fitted around a few articles (not shown) constituting reinforcement.
