Abstract
856,801. Partitioning holds. FISHER & LUDLOW Ltd. Sept. 24, 1957 [June 28, 1956; Nov. 28, 1956], Nos. 19984/56 and 36321/56. Class 113. [Also in Group XXV] A ship's hold is subdivided by a plurality of adjustable vertical partitions 7 which are of grid-like form. Means for adjusting and securing the partitions may comprise an angle member 21, and T-headed bolts 22 provided with slots 23 which engage the parallel spaced strips 20, 17 of the partition and grid like floor panels secured to channels 11 welded to the tank top 10. An upwardly directed channel member adapted to receive the lower end of the partition may replace the angle member 21. The partitions may be supported from spaced brackets 43 by rollers 44 at the top and guided by rollers 50 at the top and bottom, the arrangement being such to permit a limited relative vertical disposition between the guide means. Bracing and horizontal stiffening members 29 having channel portions to receive timber battens may be provided. Specifications 639,244 and 715,638 are referred to.
