969,643. Removable cargo decks; vehicle carriers. INTERNATIONAL MACGREGOR ORGANIZATION (I.M.G.O.). Oct. 4, 1961 [Oct. 17, 1960], No. 35808/61. Headings B7A, B7B and B7S. Ships' holds and storage spaces in vehicles and buildings are equipped with detachable platforms or 'tweendecks, notably for carrying vehicles, by disposing in each space or hold 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 vertical frames 26, 27, 28; 26<SP>1</SP>, 27<SP>1</SP>, 28<SP>1</SP>; or 29, 30, 31 forming one (in holds 1 and 6) or a plurality (in holds 2-5) of rows each one consisting of a plurality of substantially parallel frames placed one behind the other, and horizontally movable so that in their inoperative position (see hold 5 in Figs. 1 and 2, and hold 1 in Fig. 2) they may be stowed against each other so as to clear the useful volume of said hold, said frames of a same row being adapted to be placed at spaced intervals from one another for receiving and supporting in these intervals detachable horizontal panels 46 (on supports 48) disposed at different superposed levels to constitute floors or between deck platforms. In holds (1 and 6) having one row of central frames, the said platforms are extended at the sides by panels 63 on detachable beams 61 (Fig. 5). Holds (2-5) having rows of frames on eachside have central panels 59.
