Abstract
849,402. Shifting boards. WIDEROE'S FLYVESELSKAP A.S. Jan. 15, 1959 [Jan. 16 1958], No. 1566/59. Class 113. In a ships hold a shifting board comprises sections S 1 S 2 , Ss which are adapted to be movable into inoperative positions. The section S 1 is attached to the frame 13 which is hinged to a vertical axis adjacent to corner of the bulkheads 9, 11 and is stowable adjacent the latter. The section S 3 is hinged to a vertical axis in the pillar 17 and the section S 2 is hinged to the free end of section S 3 , S 2 and S 3 are adapted to be stowed adjacent the bulkheads 10 and 12 respectively. Fittings B 1 , B 2 , B 3 serve both as turnbuckle attaching points, to secure the sections in the operating position, and mountings for rollers which allow the section to move easily on the deck 4. The shifting board may comprise four sections and may only extend across the upper part of the hold the division down to the floor being completed by loose moveable sections.
