Abstract

958,883. Aircraft fuselages. SOC. ANON. DES ATELIERS D'AVIATION LOUIS BREGUET. April 17, 1963 [June 14, 1962], No. 15161/63. Heading B7W. An aircraft fuselage comprises an upper wall 1 of substantially circular cross-section which subtends an angle greater than 180 degrees, a floor 3 extending from one edge of the upper wall to the other, and a lower wall 2 having a radius of curvature R 2 at least equal to the radius of curvature R of the upper wall, the adjacent edges of these three elements being connected to one another by longitudinal members 8, each having a web 8a and flexible flanges 8c and 8d. A further flange 8e provides an attachment for an outer wall 13 of a storage compartment 14 having a framework 15 secured to structure 4 connecting wall 2 with the floor. The panels may be of honeycomb construction, individual sections being connected together by straps 5.
